Neon Bright

Hey everyone!

Happy New Year, hope everybody's 2014 is going great so far!
Today I have created a look with lots of bright colours but it also looks edgy and alternative!


Eyes: Apply black liquid eyeliner all around the eyes and then add a little bit of yellow eye shadow. Apply some black mascara.

Cheeks: Apply a little bit of bright pink blush.

Lips: Apply some bright pink lip liner and lipstick and then add some clear gloss over the top.

Accessorise with some bright headphones or a hair accessory of your choice. The headphones pictured were a free gift that is probably no longer available but there may be other similar items in Starplaza and Starbazaar!!

Quick Lolita Inspired Look

Hi everyone,

Today I created a look that is quick and easy
to do. It was inspired by Lolita style.

Eye make-up: Apply pink liquid eyeliner all around the eyes and then go around it with white pencil eyeliner. Add some black mascara.

Lips: Apply a pink lipstick or lip gloss

Accessories: I used a pink and black headband from Sunny Bunny and some pretty purple contact lenses.

Hair: Choose a big hairstyle with lots of curls or waves. The one I chose is under the Superstar hairstyles in the Beauty Parlor. You could add a pastel colour hair dye if you wanted!!!

Colourful Hair

Hi Everyone!

For today's look I created a colourful hairstyle
that is really easy and cheap to do!!

The pieces of coloured hair are made in Stardesign Hair and cost 1 stardollar each.
Choose different colours and transparency for each piece of hair to achieve all different looks.

Once you have created and purchased the extensions, go to your Beauty Parlor and choose a hair style of your choice. The style I chose is available to all levels and non superstars!

For the make-up, I chose to apply a purple lipstick, dark green liquid eyeliner and black volume mascara to match the hair colours.

Hope you all love this look and try out some different styles using this technique for your own dollie!!

Beautiful Eyes

Hi everyone!

Today, I would like to share a look with you that focuses on beautiful eyes.

Make-up:
Apply lots of black liquid eyeliner all around the eyes and some black mascara. Apply some pink blusher to the cheeks and some dark purple lipstick to the lips. Add a black eyebrow pencil to the brows for definition.

Accessories:
I added some love heart eye accessories, which are Hotbuys and may available in Bazaar. Then I applied lots of pairs of thick black eyelashes and then some bright blue contact lenses.

Gothic Party Look

Hi Everyone,

Here is the second look for today. I have created a Gothic look that would be good for the evening or a party.

Eyes: Apply lots of silver eye shadow and some grey mascara and then add some dotty eye accessories and some long fake eyelashes. (both from Sunny Bunny).

Lips: Apply dark red lipstick.

Hair and Jewelry: Choose an 'up' hairstyle from your beauty parlor. Add a skull hair clip (Sunny Bunny) and a studded choker necklace (Archive/Bazaar or make one in Stardesign Jewelry).

Autumn/Fall Makeup

Hey Everyone :)

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I am busy with work experience.

Today I will post two makeup looks for you. The first one uses Autumn/Fall style colours but also looks Gothic.

Eyes:
Apply black liquid eyeliner all around the eyes and create flicks in the outer corners. Add a dark orange eye shadow to the eyelids and sweep it all the way up to the eyebrows. Apply black eyebrow pencil for definition and a black pencil eyeliner to the eyelids. Complete by adding some long fake eyelashes. (Available in the Sunny Bunny section of the Starplaza catalog).

Lips: Apply red lipstick.

Hair: Available in your Beauty Parlor.

Gothic Face Veil and Make-up

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been mega busy!
Anyway, here is a nice look I have put together. It features a beautiful veil and matching make-up.

Make-up: Apply black liquid eye liner all over the eyes creating points in the outer and inner corners of the eyes and then add some black lengthening mascara. Complete the make-up with some red lipstick.

Headband/Veil: It will be available in Starbazaar. There are also lots of similar items in Sunny Bunny.

Girlie/Cute but Alternative

Hi Everyone!

Today, I have created a look that is slightly cute and girly but it still has a hard and alternative edge to it. I mostly do my own makeup like this in real life and it looks very effective and individual.

First of all, apply black liquid eyeliner all over the eyes, making it flick out in the corners and then apply black mascara. Add a touch of bright pink blusher to the cheeks and then apply some pink lipstick and clear gloss to the lips.

Choose a up style for the hair, such as a bun or ponytail and then accessorize with a flower hair clip or a bow and some pretty earrings.

Green Eye Make-Up

Hey everyone!!
I've put together a quick and effective eye make-up look in the fabulous colour, green!!

First of all apply lots of pale green eye shadow all over the eyelids and then add some darker green to the outer corners of the eyelids. Apply the dark eye shadow over the light eye shadow.
Then apply lots of black liquid eye liner all over the eyes and make it flick out in the corners. Complete the look with some black mascara and a lipstick or gloss of your choice!!

Rainbow Girl

Hi everyone!
There is a new hairstyle available at Tress Up and I absolutely love it! :D
I did a simple makeup look that looks great with it. The hair is called Gaga Rainbow Ponytail and costs 14sd.

Eye Makeup: Apply a black eyebrow pencil to define the eyebrows and then apply white liquid eyeliner all around the eyes. Get a dark purple eye shadow and apply a light layer all around the eyes and then complete with some black mascara.

Lips: Apply a bright blue lipstick and some clear gloss

Cheeks: Apply a purple blusher all over and blend it into the eye shadow

Vampy Look

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I was on holiday :D

Today, I have put together a look that is Gothic and also looks very Vampire!!

Eye makeup: I simply applied some black liquid eyeliner all around the eyes and flicked it out at the edges and then applied a tiny bit of purple liquid eyeliner in the corners of the eyes.

Lips: I applied black lipstick all over the lips and then applied some red lipstick in the center of the mouth. It is a very different look and you will stand out from all the other Dollies.

Hair: I chose a gorgeous Stardesign wig that was designed by emanVenus. If you don't want to use a wig, choose a long hair style in your beauty parlor and choose black for the hair colour or use a dark red dye.

Jewelry: I couldn't find out the brand of the jewelry or where is is available so I am presuming it may be available in Bazaar. If not, try the catalog in Starplaza, there is loads in there that is not featured in the stores.

Mixing it up!!

Hi Dollies, today I am going to show you that Gothic looks don't always have to be about the colour black. I have created a look that you will all love (hopefully lol)

I added a pink dye to the hair and instead of using black eyeliner/ eye shadow, I used a pinkish red eyeliner with some black mascara. It is a very nice alternative and looks effective. You could also use a colour mascara, such as blue with black eyeliner. Experiment with different ones until you find your favourite!!

Up On Style - Gothic!

 Hello, everyone! 

How'ya doing? o/

Today I thought about bringing a little about a style we all like: Gothic!

First thing I need to say about Gothic (Or simply Goth) is that is has LOTS of variations. Victorian, Cyber, Vampire, Steampunk, etc. So, while I was searching for some pictures, I found something really cool. This super-awesome site called BlackWaterfall has an illustrated guide to Goth Stereotypes and I simply loved it! I /had/ to post this:

 Aren't they just awesome? Those are only the the stereotypes I believe are the most common, but there's a bunch of them! And the girl (I think her name is Trellia) who made it also have a blog and a devianart, so check them out if you liked it!

And at last but not least, the goth style on Stardoll. We all know Fallen Angel and Evil Panda for their gothic-ish or at least 'different' clothes and dark 'must-haves'. Most of the Stardoll's Gothic stuff comes from these stores, so I definitely recommend them! You may also find a lot on the bazaar (Like the Mortal Kiss stuff!) for fair prices. Maybe I'll post about some goth must-haves on the bazaar later  (:

Scene/Punk/Emo/Alternative/Dark General Makeup Tutorial

Hey guys (: I decided to make a video tutorial on how you can give your MeDoll a makeup look that will go with any outfit. If you don't  like changing your MeDoll's hair and makeup often (I know I don't) and you want to do it REALLY WELL once, then here is a look for you. This will honestly go with WHATEVER your dolly is wearing, because it has little color and is mostly black and/or shading. This is how I do my MeDoll's makeup, and I think it looks great. Enjoy c:

Up On Style - Punk

Hello my little monsters! (Lady gaga mode: off)

Today I'm here to bring a little about one of my favorite styles: Punk! Punk is an ideological movement born on the UK at the 70's and is frequently associated with  Anarchism. The Punk Style usually shocks people for being really different and "aggressive", but most punk's are actually nice people with good ideologies: the fashion is like a reflection of them. The Punk Style typical elements are ripped jeans and jackets, leather, tights, short skirts, spikes, studs, chains, converse all stars, combat boots and band t-shirts, usually mixing black with bright colors, like red, purple or green. The most common hairstyle is the Mohawk, dyed or not with unusual hair colors.

Punk Rock Band 'Sex Pistols'

Stardoll has a lot items you can use to create a punk look, but most of them you can only find only at the bazaar. I tried create a look using items from the plaza so you can buy them if you want. Also, Stardoll brought back the famous Ripped Shorts on Archive for 10SD and a few Hot Buys on Hot Buys Summer Retro that you use to make your own punkish look and they're really not expensive, so I really advice to check the stores out ;)

My name is Helena and I'm the new writer on this blog! More alternative makeup

Hi everyone! Today I will be posting two blogs. Here is the first look I have created today.

First, apply black liquid eyeliner and white eye shadow and then lots of black mascara. I used a lengthening mascara AND a volume mascara.

When you have completed the eye makeup, add some pink blusher to the cheeks and then some pink lipstick and clear lip gloss to the lips.

The hair is available from Tress up for 11sd (Jessica Hair). If you can't afford it, there are lots of free options in the beauty parlor that are similar.

Accessorise with a black hair bow and a lip piercing!!

Cute Scene Look

Hi again :D

Today I have created a look that is ideal for alternative girls who would like to try out 'Scene' style. Scene style involves big hair, bright colors and cute patterns and cute accessories.

Here is how to do the makeup:

For the eyes, apply a bright purple liquid eyeliner and make it flick out in both corners of the eyes. Apply a little bit of black pencil eyeliner on the bottom of the eyes, underneath the purple. On the top of the eyes, in the outer corners, apply some black glitter eye shadow. Complete the eye makeup with some black volume mascara AND black lengthening mascara, for gorgeous and bold eyelashes.

Apply a light pink lipstick to finish the makeup.

The hair I used was made in stardesign hair by makyDesigner. The best scene hairstyles on Stardoll are made in stardesign hair and there are loads available. If you can't afford to buy hair, choose a long hair style and add some color extensions or bright color highlights.

Accessories with a lip piercing and choose accessories that feature stars and cute bows.
